  • Minimized the formation of undesirable chips by optimizing the parameters in the Friction Element Welding.

  • Developed a simulation model of the same in Ansys Workbench with an average percent error of 13%

  • Presented my findings at the Fabtech American Welding Society (AWS 2020)

  • Performed a root cause analysis to identify the reason for chipping behavior and derived a DOE accordingly to eliminate this erroneous behavior.

  • Decoupled the variability in the tool wear evolution projects by performing Trochoidal Milling operations on Nickel alloys in CNC machines.

  • Reduced the effect of Springback by 61% in Single Point Incremental Forming by comparing the effects of different variables on this novel forming technique.

  • Developed work instructions for general maintenance and tool change cycle for various equipment.

  • Hands-on experience with various power tools, manufacturing processes, and equipment.

  • Analyzed material behavior and joint strength by performing tensile tests, shear tests, cross tension, and hardness tests.

  • Developed work instructions for general maintenance and tool change cycle for the CNC’s.

  • Optimized the design and reduced the cost of test fixtures by 21% through rapid prototyping and validation.

  • Improved the organization and efficiency of the workplace by following the 5S system.

  • Followed lean manufacturing techniques, and pull system to reduce the inventory of materials.

  • Submitted research papers in various conferences on Single Point Incremental Forming, Friction Element Welding, and Friction Element Riveting.
